Are you visiting historic Kelham Hall Nottinghamshire? The historic stately home hosts a variety of events, from lavish weddings to festivals and private parties, here's the lowdown on what to expect if you're visiting and where to stay nearby.

History of Kelham Hall
Kelham Hall Nottinghamshire lies on the banks of the River Trent, less than three kilometres from the historic market town of Newark-on-Trent. The stately, red-brick Victorian home was designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott (famous for his work on the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel in London) after a devastating fire destroyed the original property in 1857.
The Grade 1 listed building boasts a Great Hall, towers, a music room and a domed chapel; for 70 years, it was even home to an order of Anglican monks. The architecture both inside and out is so impressive, you could spend a whole day simply admiring the various window designs. The 42 acres of landscaped gardens and lawns complete the grounds and together make it the ideal setting for large-scale events in Nottinghamshire. The property is now run by Renaissance at Kelham Hall for both public and private events.
