What is a Tiny House?

Welcome to Bracken Heights, our new Tiny House

We’re thrilled to announce our newest holiday escape: Bracken Heights, an eco-friendly Tiny House. Custom-built from quality timber by Tiny Eco Homes UK, it’s the perfect self-contained base for your holiday, complete with a full bathroom and kitchen, plus a living area and two cosy mezzanine lofts for sleeping and chilling out. Windows showcase countryside views and you’re ideally located for exploring nearby sights like Sherwood Forest and Newark-on-Trent.

Visiting in the summer? Enjoy your own garden and deck complete with picnic table and BBQ or head over to our communal firepit for drinks and s’mores under the stars. Bracken Heights is also perfect for a winter getaway, with toasty underfloor heating and a full kitchen with oven and hob for preparing meals. Relax with morning coffee at the breakfast bar or spend the evening watching a movie on the sofa or hanging out in the games loft.

What is a Tiny House?

There’s no official classification for Tiny Homes, but they’re typically under 400sq feet in size, have a sleeping loft and sit on a trailer. Many are designed for complete off-grid living with solar panels, wood-burning stoves and composting toilets. While the movement is still gathering steam in the UK, Tiny Homes are incredibly popular in countries like the USA, Australia and Canada. For many, Tiny House living is about creating a simpler, cheaper lifestyle and leaving a gentler footprint on the earth. They also make for great holiday nooks.

One of the things we love most about Bracken Heights is its eco-friendly credentials. Built from thermally-treated timber, it has double glazed windows, LED lighting and a high-end composting toilet. The whole home runs on electricity, including the underfloor heating and hot water system. Crucially, since the home sits on a trailer, it doesn’t leave a permanent mark on the landscape.

Ready to experience Tiny House living for yourself? Bracken Heights is available to book from the 9th September so check out our availability on our Book Now page.
