Free Outdoor Activities

With its Robin Hood associations, Nottinghamshire is the perfect place for an archery stag do. So, we’ve partnered with outdoor events company Into the Forest, who are running adventure activities on our glamping field. For 2025, we’re offering one free activity for the groom-to-be (£20 per person for stag party guests) to spice up your event – choose from:

  • Archery

  • Axe throwing

  • Crossbow firing

  • Air-rifle shooting

All hour-long sessions are run by professionals and you’ll receive full training and safety gear before taking part in tournaments and games. Add extra sessions for a half or full day of exciting stag do adventures, just steps from your accommodation. Find out more about eligibility and what’s on offer on our activities page.

Stag Do Glamping Accommodation

We have a full range of glamping accommodation options to suit all stag do group sizes and budgets, spread across our nine-acre field. Choose from:

  • The Fern – our five-person, self-contained cottage has a private outdoor hot tub

  • Bracken Heights – our Tiny House lodge has two lofts to sleep three and a Lay-Z-Spa

  • Glamping pods – our three self-contained pods sleep two/three people

  • Bell tents – our five bell tents sleep up to four people, with shared loos and showers

  • Extra campers – we can accommodate extra tents and campervans on our field

Location

Organising a Newark stag do? Our glamping site lies just 15 minutes from Newark-on-Trent and less than an hour and a quarter by train from London. You’ll be within walking distance of great pubs like the Muskham Ferry, which sits on the banks of the River Trent, or slightly further away, the Milestone Brewery, which is loved for its craft ales. Nearby restaurants include the popular Ashiana Indian eatery.

If you want to head off-site during the day, Sherwood Forest lies just 20 minutes away and has a range of mountain biking and hiking trails as well as a high-ropes course. If you’re planning stag do activities in Nottingham, we’re just a 40-minute drive from the city and less than 30 minutes from Lincoln.

Stag Glamping Facilities

Enjoy access to our entire nine-acre glamping field with woodland walk, young apple orchard and communal fire-pit. Bell tent guests enjoy shared BBQs, eco-toilets and gas-fired showers, while all of our other accommodation is self-contained with kitchens, bathrooms and BBQs. Whether you’re organising a small glamping stag do or large party, we have a range of facilities onsite to create your perfect celebration, including:

  • Marquees and pagodas

  • A dancefloor and stage for live bands

  • We can arrange food and drinks trucks
